About Us

Anderson, McCoy & Orta, a professional corporation ("AM&O") was established in 1992 as a Minority and Woman Owned Business for the purpose of providing legal services to the FDIC and RTC for troubled assets. AM&O also represented the RTC in the sell-off of commercial mortgages, the activity credited with spurring the CMBS industry. This work led to the firm handling commercial servicing matters for the first FDIC and RTC securitized pools for loans across the country. AM&O parlayed its national experience into working for most of the major lenders and loan servicers in the industry.

17 years since its establishment, AM&O is widely regarded as a preeminent law firm specializing in commercial mortgage loan and mortgage backed securities transactions. A few of the firm’s current clients include Wells Fargo Bank N.A., Bank of America N.A., Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, JPMorgan, Citigroup and UBS. AM&O is on the List of Available Counsel for the FDIC.

AM&O is an active member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Commercial Mortgage Securities Association.
